Georgia Southern women's golf returns to spring action at the Valspar Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. This marks the fourth consecutive season the Eagles are competing in the event. The Eagles took eighth place last season behind a stacked field and took wins over then No. 1 Wake Forest and 32nd-ranked Alabama.
This year's lineup will look a little different than last with Louise Reau as the only returner from last year's lineup. Reau tied for eighth place last season shooting a 2-under par.
Reau and Mary Miller make their eighth start this season, LoraLie Cowart and Kelsey Chen will enter the Eagle lineup for the seventh time this season, and Abbey Schimpf cracks the lineup for the first time this season. Drive Tunwannrux will compete as an individual for her second tournament of the season.
Georgia Southern will tee off in a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
After play this weekend, the Eagles will compete at the More Than Golf Invitational at Old Barnwell in Aiken, S.C., March 28-30.
