The Georgia Southern women's golf team returns to action opening its spring campaign at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Round one begins Sunday, Feb. 2 with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
Last season, the Eagles opened up its spring campaign at the same tournament taking sixth place. Louise Reau used seven birdies in the final round firing a team-low 69 to end the tournament at 1-under par to finish tied for 16th.
Regina Plascencia is set to make her 23rd career start, Mary Miller is making her sixth start, Reau is making her 16th career start, Kelsey Chen gets her fifth career start, and midyear transfer Drive Tunwannarux is making her Eagle debut.
The 18-team field is stacked with six teams inside the top-20 including, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Northwestern, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt along with an additional six inside the top-50 rankings according to Scoreboard by Clippd.
The Eagles are paired with Kansas State, Iowa State, and Minnesota and will tee off from on holes 8-11.
