Career Highs Fuel Eagles’ 3-1 Road Victory Over Troy

Troy, Ala. – Georgia Southern volleyball capped off its weekend with another strong showing, defeating Troy 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16) Saturday afternoon inside Trojan Arena.

"Proud of our crew for getting it done again today on the road," head coach Chad Willis said. "Story of the match was our service pressure and ability to play through our defense – especially the block."

The Eagles (14-3, 5-1 SBC) were led by standout performances across the board, including a dominant effort from Reagan Barth, who tied her career high and surpassed her season best with 23 kills while adding 13 digs for a double-double.

Freshman Alex Myers also delivered a breakout match, posting a new season and career high with 13 kills on an impressive .520 hitting percentage.

At the net, Lydia Seymour anchored the Eagles' defense, setting new season and career marks with 13 total blocks, helping limit Troy (3-11, 1-5 SBC) to just a .090 hitting clip for the match.

Setter Kirsten Barrett paced the offense with 45 assists and added five digs and two aces, while libero Mayte Camacho led the team with 15 digs.

Georgia Southern hit .203 as a team and held Troy under .100, closing out the match with a commanding fourth-set performance.

The Eagles return to action next weekend as they continue Sun Belt action at home against Appalachian State.

"Important divisional stretch coming up, and we need Eagle Nation out in full force this coming week in Hanner," Willis said.
