NEW ORLEANS – Junior outfielder Emma Davis was tabbed Preseason All-Sun Belt as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. The honor marks the first preseason award of her career. 

Last season, Davis was named second team All-Sun Belt after an outstanding year as she started all 51 games in center field and hit leadoff in every game. She batted a team-high .384 with 63 hits, five doubles, home run, 19 RBI, and 15 stolen bases. The Grayson, Ga. native collected 21 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games on the season. 

Georgia Southern was picked eighth in the preseason coaches poll.
