Georgia Southern competes in the Mason Rudolph Championships, hosted by Vanderbilt, for the second time in three years. The Eagles last competed at the event during the 2022-23 season and finished 12th. Abby Newton fired a bogey-free 69 in the final round and tied for 18th.
The tournament will feature eight teams in the latest WGCA Coaches Poll including South Carolina (T4), Texas (T4), Texas A&M (9), Northwestern (11), Arizona State (12), Mississippi State (16), Arizona (17), Vanderbilt (19) and receiving votes were Baylor and Alabama. Georgia Southern also received 10 votes in the coaches poll.
Georgia Southern is coming off a 12th place finish at the Cougar Classic played at Yeamans Hall as Louise Reau and LoraLie Cowart paced the Eagles with a top-40 finish.
The Eagles are paired with Baylor and Chattanooga and will tee off the 10th hole beginning at 8:35 a.m. ET.
