STATESBORO – Georgia Southern softball continues its road swing this weekend, April 12-14, traveling to South Alabama for a three-game conference series. All three contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
Georgia Southern moved to 20-16 overall with a 4-8 conference record after being swept last weekend at ULM. The Eagles combined for six runs last weekend on 18 hits and left 21 runners on base. Georgia Southern led games two and three by a run going into the bottom of the seventh inning but ULM rallied in both games to secure the victory.
Alana Barnard and
Morgan Kendrick combined for 15.1 innings pitched allowing just four runs on eight hits and seven strikeouts. Kendrick tossed a career high nine complete innings in game three.
Emma Davis went 4-for-12 on the weekend and scored two of the Eagles six runs.

South Alabama comes into the series with a 21-14-1 overall record and sits X in the Sun Belt with a 7-5 conference record. The Jaguars are coming off a sweep at Appalachian State outscoring the Mountaineers 10-2 over the three-game span. Mackenzie Brasher leads the Jaguar offense batting .325 including two doubles and nine runs batted in and Gabby Stagner follows with a .318 batting average including a team high 30 runs batted in, ten doubles, and eight homers. In the circle is reigning Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, Olivia Lackie, who is 15-6 on the season with 146.1 innings pitched. Lackie posts a 1.53 ERA with 151 strikeouts this season.
