Faith Barth launched a three-run homer to put the Eagles up early. Emma Davis used an RBI groundout for its final run of the game. Anslie Pettit tossed a complete game allowing three runs on nine hits with five strikeouts. In the final two contests the Eagles struggled offensively. The Eagles scattered six hits in game two and recorded one in game three. Delanie Thames scored the lone run in game two with a solo home run in game two and Janai Conklin hit her first home run of the season for the Eagles lone hit and run of game three.

SCOUTING THE GEORGIA BULLDOGS
The fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs opened SEC play against Alabama taking two of the three-game series. Friday's game saw Ellie Armistead launch a three-run home run in the fourth which would go on to secure the win. The Bulldogs used a five inning run rule in game two to take the series before Alabama avoided the sweep on Sunday taking game three 5-4. Sydney Kuma leads the Georgia offense batting .397 including 29 hits and five doubles. The trio of Madison Kerpics (1.95 ERA), Lilli Backes (2.11 ERA), and Shelby Walters (3.31 ERA) leads the pitching staff with a combined 22-4 record.
