Georgia Southern softball is coming off of a 4-1 weekend at the Bash in the Boro tournament at Eagle Field. The Eagles dropped its first game of the season in a 1-0 loss to UMass before bouncing back with four straight wins to close the tournament. 

The Eagles travel to Florida to compete in the UF Bubly Invitational Friday through Sunday for its second tournament of the early season and. The tournament features Florida (4-1), College of Charleston (2-3), and Loyola Chicago (4-0) as well as the Eagles. The tournament marks the second appearance for the Eagles at the UF Bubly Invitational and the third appearance in a Gator tournament. 

Friday's matchup against College of Charleston marks the 79th meeting between the Eagles and the Cougars as the Eagles lead the series 49-29. The Eagles currently hold a four game win streak over the Cougars and took the last neutral site game in Greensboro, N.C. by a score of 3-2 in 11 innings. 

The Eagles will take on the #18 Florida Gators on Friday and Saturday at 3 p.m. and look to earn its first win over the Gators. The Eagles and Gators have met five times with Florida out scoring GS 36-10. 

Saturday's matchup with Loyola Chicago will be the first meeting between the two teams in school history.
