STATESBORO – Georgia Southern softball head coach
Sharon Perkins announced the 2025 schedule on Monday afternoon. The team will host a trio of non conference tournaments at Beautiful Eagle Field and compete against five P4 opponents.
The Eagles open its 2025 campaign on the road at the USF-Rawlings Invitational Feb. 7-9 where it's set to face five different opponents in Delaware, Illinois State, South Florida, Michigan and Florida in Tampa.
The squad then opens its home slate hosting back-to-back tournaments: Bash in the Boro (Feb. 14-16) and GATA Challenge (Feb. 21-23). Bash in the Boro features Lipscomb, Harvard, and Furman and in the GATA Challenge the Eagles face off against Campbell, Fairfield, and Oakland.
Georgia Southern wraps up its road tournaments traveling to Orlando Feb. 28-Mar. 1 for the Charge On Classic. The field features host UCF, Georgia Mason, North Florida, and Providence. The Eagles final home tournament will be played Mar. 7-9 against Maryland and Rider.
Georgia Southern opens Sun Belt Conference play hosting Southern Miss on before later hosting Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, and Marshall. The team will travel to App State, Troy, ULM, and James Madison.
The Eagles schedule features midweek contests against Mercer (Feb.26/Apr. 15), Georgia (Mar. 12), Charleston Southern (Mar. 19), and Georgia Tech (Apr. 1).
The Sun Belt Conference Championship takes place May 7-11 at Troy Softball Complex in Troy, Ala.
