STATESBORO - Georgia Southern men's golf coach
Carter Collins announced the signing of Georgia standout Trace Carter to an aid agreement on Wednesday, who will join the program as a freshman in fall of 2025.
Carter, who hails from Blackshear and has a perfect 4.0 GPA at Ware County High, is ranked the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia by juniorgolfscoreboard and is the 84th player in the class of 2025 nationally by the same outlet. A two-time Georgia 5A state champion, Carter also tied for first at the 2024 Georgia PGA Junior Championship.
