STATESBORO - After a week off, the Georgia Southern football team returns home for a conference matchup with Marshall on Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium/Evans Family Field. Kickoff is set for 8:05 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU and streamed on the ESPN app. The game will also be available via radio on the Georgia Southern Sports Network. - In five of the previous eight games, both teams were ranked in the I-AA Top 25 Poll, including three times when Marshall was the No. 1 team in the country.
- Marshall leads the series with the Eagles in Statesboro, 3-1, but MU has actually played five games at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. The Thundering Herd lost to Youngstown State in the 1991 NCAA Division I-AA National Championship Game played in Statesboro.
