STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern swim and dive teams will open its 2024 portion of its schedule on the road at Minges Natatorium on the campus of East Carolina on Saturday, January 6. Action from Greenville, N.C., is scheduled to begin at 1 PM.
The last time the Eagles and the Pirates met was during the 2022-23 season, where the Eagles hosted a dual meet with the Pirates and UNF. In that meet, ECU came out as the winners by defeated both GS and UNF, while Georgia Southern came in second with a victory over UNF.
Both squads have faced two common opponents in Garnder-Webb and UNC Asheville. Against GWU, both GS and ECU came away with victories, while against UNCA, ECU won both portions of that meet, with Georgia Southern winning the diving portion of its meet.
