STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team starts a four-game home stand with the North Florida Ospreys on Friday, Sept. 8 at Eagle Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
UNF enters the match with a 1-1-2 record, coming off a 2-2 tie with St. Thomas. Prior to that, the Ospreys' offense exploded and socred four goals in a 4-1 victory over the Winthrop Eagles in Jacksonville, Fla. Georgia Southern puts a 1-1-1 record on the line after its best start to a season since 2019, coming off a tough 0-0 draw with FGCU down in Fort Myers, Fla.
Georgia Southern currently holds a 11-5-1 all-time record over the Ospreys and are winners of its last six against UNF. The Eagles are 4-3-1 all-time in Statesboro against UNF.
Georgia Southern plays one more ASUN opponent after UNF to finish a stretch of three-straight ASUN opponents. GS played FGCU last Friday, takes on UNF tomorrow, and then faces Jacksonville on Tuesday.
