Georgia Southern opens the 2023-24 season with a new look as a fresh crop of talented Eagles look to carry the baton and continue the success of the program which has been to NCAA Regionals eight out of the past 10 years, including two trips to the national championship. That starts this week as the Eagles travel to the first Valero Texas Collegiate in San Antonio. The four-day event will feature some of the finest college golfers in the country as well as some storied golf programs in the NCAA, with the individual winner of the tournament receiving an exemption into the 2024 Valero Texas Open. Of the 12 teams in the field, 10 were selected by the NCAA Regionals a year ago and four of those teams advanced to the National Championship round.
The Eagles are paired with Virginia and Louisville and will tee off on hole 10 Saturday starting at 10 a.m (CT)/11 a.m. (ET).
Next on the docket is the JT Poston Collegiate Sept. 25 and 26 in Cashiers, North Carolina.
