Georgia Southern women's golf returns to action at the Leadership and Golf Invitational. It is the Eagles first time playing at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington.
The team is coming off a top-six finish at the Boilermaker Classic Sept. 8, the first event of the season for the Eagles. 5th-year Haley Yerxa finished competition at 1-under par for a top-ten individual finish shooting 73-71-71 (215) for the tournament.
During the tournament, Yerxa, Louise Reau, and Emma von Hoffmann each posted a 1-under round. Von Hoffmann shot 71-77-72 (220) to finish 21st and Reau shot 76-71-75 (222) for a top-30 finish.
Regina Plascencia starts in the lineup for the first time this season, Newton makes her 32 career start in the Eagle lineup, while Yerxa makes her 12th start, and von Hoffmann and Reau enter their second tournament as Eagles.
GS is paired with Oregon State, Sac State, and Northern Arizona for Monday's first round.
