STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team will play host to the Jacksonville Dolphins from the ASUN Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Eagle Field. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m.
JU is the third-straight, as well as final, ASUN opponent the Eagles will face this season. Georgia Southern is currently 0-1-1 against ASUN teams, fighting to a 0-0 draw with FGCU and falling 2-1 to UNF. JU will play one more Sun Belt team after the Eagles, heading to South Carolina next month.
Georgia Southern brings a 1-2-1 record into the match after the aforementioned loss to North Florida on Friday. Jacksonville brings a 1-4-0 record to the match after ending a four-match losing skid with a 3-1 victory over Florida Atlantic on Friday night.
The Eagles ae 9-15-3 all-time against the Dolphins in a series spanning back to 1986. The series is tied 2-2 in the last four meetings, with JU winning the previous two. Georgia Southern is 7-4-2 against the Dolphins in Statesboro.
