T&F Preview: Eagles Set for Sun Belt Outdoor Championship

The meet begins Thursday.

– Georgia Southern track and field competes in the Sun Belt Outdoor Championship, hosted by Coastal Carolina May 11-13 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Action begins at noon on Thursday, 11 a.m. Friday and noon on Saturday. Action will air live on ESPN+ with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Eagles are coming off a team victory at the Georgia Southern Classic April 29. NaJ Watson won the 100 (11.66) and 200 (23.72), while Imani Moore won the triple jump (11.73m). Kennedy Hood won the long jump (5.69m), and Catherine Hall won the 1500 (4:54.53). Sofia Molina took first in the 400 (57.69), Isabel Ptacek won the 800 (2:19.54) and Donisha Jeanty took first in the 400 hurdles (1:03.91).

Watson owns two top-5 times in the Sun Belt this season. The freshman's 200 time of 23.23 is the second-fastest in the league, while her time of 11.49 in the 100 is the fifth-fastest in the league.
