STATESBORO - Georgia Southern head rifle coach Soren Butler announced Tuesday an addition to an already-impressive group of shooters who comprise his first recruiting class as a head coach as the Eagles will welcome Emma Pohlmann (Nentershausen, Germany) to Georgia Southern this fall. The rising sophomore joins Bremen Butler (Fort Wayne, Ind.), Ella Goldfaden (Bat Hefer, Israel), Zahra González Mazo (Logroño, Spain) and Brooklynne Weatherford (Bartow, Fla.) who were announced earlier this year.
"We're really excited that Emma will be joining us in the fall here in Statesboro," Butler said. "We think she'll be an immediate impact maker and will add more depth to our new crew coming in in the fall."
