Ranked 19th nationally by Golfstat, Georgia Southern plays at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta this weekend. The field features eight teams in the top-50 in the country and six in the top-25, including No. 6 Illinois and No. 9 Texas, the defending national champions. Teams are scheduled to play 36 holes Saturday and 18 Sunday, part of a busy couple weeks in the city of Augusta.
Georgia Southern is coming off an 11th-place finish at The Valspar Collegiate Invitational in a field that had 12Â teams ranked in the top-50, according to Golfstat, and six in the top-10.
Ben Carr, who will be playing in The Masters at Augusta National next week, tied for second.
Georgia Southern has finished first or second in three of its four tournaments this spring. The Eagles have three team tournament victories to their credit along with two runner-up finishes.
The Eagles are paired with South Carolina and UCFÂ for the first two rounds and will tee off holes 11-13 in an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Saturday.
Mason Williams makes his 41st start in the lineup and

Luke Koenig is in the lineup for the first time.
This is the final event of the regular season for Georgia Southern as the Eagles have three weeks off before competing in the Sun Belt Championship, which is scheduled for April 23-27 at Annandale Golf Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
