Watson Leads Track and Field in Outdoor Opener

ORLANDO, Fla. – NaJ Watson broke the school record in the 200 and finished third to lead Georgia Southern in the Eagles' outdoor season opener at the Black and Gold Invite.
Watson ran the 200 in 23.23 and finished second among collegiate competitors. Imani Moore posted the program's eighth-best mark in the long jump (5.91m) and finished 11th, and Donisha Jeanty ran a 1:03.24 in the 400 hurdles, the ninth fastest time in program history, to finish 13th.
Catherine Hall (10:57.46), Lily Ball (10:58.53) and Katie Ranck (11:07.85) placed sixth, seventh and eighth in the 3000. Watson teamed with Moore, Montse Rodriguez and Kennedy Hood to finish ninth in the 4x100 relay (45.64).
