Eagles Worldwide: Five To Participate In Study Abroad Program This Summer

The second year of the APEX Program's Study Abroad initiative kicks off in June
The Eagles Worldwide Study Abroad Program supports the APEX program's mission to the commitment of the holistic growth of all Georgia Southern student-athletes. It aims to provide an experiential learning opportunity for Eagle student-athletes to prepare them with the global knowledge, attitudes and skills that will enable them to function as productive citizens beyond their current borders.

Reese Connelly
Sophomore
Cross Country/Track and Field
Destination: Ireland
Reese is a native of Marietta, Ga., who is in her second season as a member of the Georgia Southern cross country and track and field team!
Bella Gamez
Junior
Rifle
Destination: Ireland
Bella is a native of San Antonio, Texas, who is in her fourth season with the two-time SoCon champion rifle squad!
Samantha Holbrook
Junior
Track and Field
Destination: Ireland
Samantha is in her second season with the Georgia Southern track and field team after joining the Eagles as a transfer from the College of Charleston. A native of Bradenton, Fla., Holbrook competes in all throws for the Eagles!
Isabel Ptacek
Junior
Cross Country/Track and Field
Destination: France
Izzy is the president of the Georgia Southern SAAC and is in her third year with the Eagle cross country and track and field team! A native of Cumming, Ga., Izzy is a three-time Dean's List honoree at Georgia Southern.
Emma Sutton
Junior
Swimming and Diving
Destination: France
Emma is in her third season with the swimming and diving team at Georgia Southern. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Emma's specialty is the freestyle.
