Track and Field Indoor Records Fall at South Carolina Invite

New marks set in 200 and 4x400 relay.
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Devine Parker broke her own school record in the 200 and teamed with NaJ Watson, Megan Bolton and Scovia Ayikoru to break the 4x400 relay record as action in the South Carolina Invitational concluded Saturday at the Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex.
Parker ran the 200 in 23.65, while Ayikoru (23.84) and Watson (23.98) posted the second and third-best times in program history. The trio took second, third and fifth in the event.
They teamed with Bolton to post a mark of 3:43.54 in the 4x400 for a new school record and a second-place finish. Sam Holbrook improved on her best in the weight throw (16.67), which is the fourth best toss in school history, to finish sixth, and Ayikoru's 7.54 in the 60m dash tied for the program's fourth best time.
Imani Moore finished second in the triple jump (11.55), and Kennedy Hood placed sixth in the long jump (5.50). Sofia Molina took seventh in the 400 and ran a personal best in the 200 (25.67). Moore (25.68) and Nia Hence (26.10) also notched personal bests in the 200.
Katie Ranck finished seventh in the 3000m with a personal best of 10:37.55, while Catherine Hall (10:42.78), Reese Connelly (11:07.06) and Alondra Reyna-Lopez (10:58.70) all ran personal bests in the event.
