STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's tennis team took down the Stetson Hatters with a big 4-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at the Wallis Tennis Center.

In doubles, the Eagles would win the No. 3 position first with a 6-1 victory by Laurent Julia Calac and Jacob Mitchell. Stetson would take down Judson Blair and Pol del Castillo Masich, 6-3, at the No. 1 position to tie up doubles, but Valentin Dun and Alexandros Roumpis at the No. 2 position would defeat the Stetson duo, 6-4, to take the doubles point for the Eagles.

In singles, Pierre Mouesca at the No. 4 position would take down his opponent first with a 6-3, 6-4 victory, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead on the day. Del Castillo at the No. 1 position would also win with strong 6-2, 6-3 victories to take a commanding 3-0 lead on the day. Stetson would take the No. 5 position against Blair with a pair of 6-4, 6-4 victories, but the Eagles would clinch the match thanks to Dimitris Paliouras's win at the No. 3 position, 6-3, 6-4, to win the match.
