PREVIEW: Eagles Continue Road Swing Against College of Charleston

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team continues a three-game road swing as the Eagles will take on the College of Charleston Cougars on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at the Soccer Stadium at the Patriots Point Athletic Complex. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.

Georgia Southern comes into the match with a recrd of 1-5-5- after dropping a Sun Belt Conference match, 2-0, to the second-ranked UCF Knights on Saturday night. College of Charleston brings a 2-4-5 record into the match after dropping a Coastal Athletic Association match to Stony Brook at home on Saturday afternoon. Both teams come in on a losing skid at GS has lost its previous two matches, while CofC has lost its previous four. 

The Cougars are 17-5-1 all-time against the Eagles, but Georgia Southern has won the previous four matches in the series, the last one taking place in Statesboro in 2021. The last time the two met up in Charleston, SC, was in 2019.

The Eagles will return to conference action for the rest of the regular season when Georgia Southern takes on Georgia State on Friday, Oct. 13, in Atlanta, Ga. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
