ORLANDO, Fla. - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team fell 2-0 in conference action to the UCF Knights on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex.
The Knights (6-1-2, 2-1-1 SBC) took the lead in the 8th minute when a ball was shot into the bottom left corner of the goal bu a Knight striker, assisted by two other teammates. The Eagles (1-5-5, 0-2-2 SBC) were able to prevent any more damage before going into the half, thanks to a save by
Nate Martinez. In the second half, Martinez would tally three more saves, but the Knights would notch a second goal to take a 2-0 lead, which would eventually become the final in the match.
The Eagles were outshot 17-4 in the match, but the Knights tallied more fouls, 14-9.

The Eagles will continue the road trip with its final non-conference game of the season, taking on the College of Charleston Cougars on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
