HARRISONBURG, Va. – Vado Morse scored 25, Noah Freidel added 20, and James Madison drilled 11 3-pointers en route to an 83-71 Sun Belt men's basketball win over Georgia Southern in the Atlantic Union Bank Center Saturday night.

Eagles of the Game
Andrei Savrasov led the Eagles with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Tai Strickland made 4 of 7 from the field and netted 10 points. Jalen Finch finished with 10 points, four assists and three rebounds, while Tyren Moore and Kamari Brown each scored 10.

Key Moments 
James Madison (12-7, 3-3) used a 10-0 run to open a 35-22 advantage with 3:13 left in the first half. Morse and Friedel ignited the spurt with consecutive 3-pointers, while the Eagles went 0 for 4 with four turnovers at the other end.

Trailing 59-50 midway through the second half, the Eagles (11-8, 4-2) had a chance to pick up some ground with two free throws off a technical foul called on JMU, plus the ball. GS made 1 of 2 from the charity stripe and missed a long 3-pointer on the ensuing possession. The Dukes responded with a 10-4 run, with Mezie Offurum scoring six, and JMU went on to push the margin to 76-57 with 5:58 to play.

Stats and Notes
- It was the first meeting between the Eagles and Dukes on the hardwood.
- James Madison shot 55.3 percent, the 10th time the Dukes have shot over 50 percent in a game this season.
- The Dukes outscored the Eagles by 18 points at the 3-point line and by eight at the free-throw line.
- GS owned a 34-28 edge on the glass, including 11-3 on the offensive boards and held a 10-point edge in second-chance points.
