STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team takes on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday, September 24, in Columbia, SC. Kickoff is now set for noon due to the South Carolina home football game set for Saturday night.
The Eagles come into Saturday's match with a 1-6-0 record after falling 3-0 on the road to the Jacksonville Dolphins on Tuesday. South Carolina enters the match at 4-3-1 after a 3-1 victory over Queens on Tuesday.
Georgia Southern and South Carolina have met nine total times in their history, with the Gamecocks holding a 7-0-2 lead in the series. The two ties came in 1997 and in 2019, and all matches have been played in Columbia, SC. The Gamecocks will visit Statesboro for the first time next season.Â
