STATESBORO - The annual Georgia Southern Football Fan Fest returns to Allen E. Paulson Stadium this Saturday, Aug. 13. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the football team will hold an open practice at 7 p.m.. Gates 5, 7 and 8 of the stadium will be the only entrances to Paulson Stadium and fans may sit throughout the stadium. No registration is needed for the event.
It's never too late to get in the spirit of tailgating -- the tailgate lot will be open for all fans to set up their tents, RVs, grills and flags before the fan fest. All fans are encouraged to come out and celebrate the upcoming football season with their fellow members of Eagle Nation. Parking is available in the lot next to the construction of the Anthony P. Tippins Family Indoor Practice Facility and fans may enter from Lanier Drive.

At the conclusion of Saturday's practice, there will be a field goal contest for all fans to enter to win two (2) tickets to the new Field of Dreams premium area at the season opener. Fans may enter into a drawing for a chance to kick a 25-yard field goal. Twenty (20) names will be drawn and will have the chance to kick during the scrimmage. There is no limit to the number of winners and each selected participant will get one try. Fans must enter the drawing in-person on the south concourse by Section G (My First Game location on game days).
As areas continue to get upgraded throughout Paulson for premium seating, fans will may view the new Four Topps mesh-back seating with cup holders in Section D.

The Fan Fest is free and open to fans of all ages. Parking is also free. Kiosks will be set up inside the stadium for ticketing, donations, and general inquiries. Fans may purchase tickets at the event including football season, single-game, and mini plan tickets, plus volleyball tickets or purchase them online at GSEagles.com/Tickets. Inflatables for kids to enjoy will be set up on the Field of Dreams. Also, GUS, the Southern Pride Marching Band and the GS Cheerleaders will be in attendance.
Georgia Southern opens the season on Sept. 3 at home against Morgan State at 6 p.m.
