Willis on Cason:
"We're thrilled to introduce and add Callaway to our Eagle family; it's always great to bring a Georgia kid back home! From our initial conversations and the time we've been able to get to know Callaway and her family, it is evident she aligns with the vision and mission of our program. Callaway adds immediate depth and experience to our setting position but more importantly brings a great attitude and willingness to pursue excellence on and off the court. We look forward to her impacting our culture in a positive way while seeing her rep the True Blue."

Cason joins Kirsten Barrett, Emily Jarome, Maggie Sale and Grace Underwood as the Eagle newcomers for 2022.

Georgia Southern finished the 2021 campaign with a 17-11 record, the most wins for the program since the 2013 season, and their nine Sun Belt victories were the most since joining the league in 2014. GS returns 15 letterwinners to the 2022 roster.
