Women's Basketball Inks Paris Miller For 2022-23

Four-star combo guard to join the Eagles this Fall

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Head Women's Basketball Coach Anita Howard announced the signing of Paris Miller to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles in the upcoming 2021-22 season.

Miller is a 5-10 combo guard from Hampton, Ga., who earned All-Region honors three times for Johns Creek HS. She averaged 21.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and two assists per game as a senior for the Gladiators, who advanced to the State Final Four twice during her career.

A McDonald's All-American nominee in 2022, Miller was an ESPNW Top 100 recruit in 2021, coming in at No. 90. She also ranks as the ninth-best prospect by Prep Girls Hoops for the state of Georgia, scoring 1,309 points in her high school career. She played AAU ball for FBC United and Coach Alfred Morton.

"Paris is a big time recruit for our program!" Coach Howard said. "She is a long, athletic combo guard who can get to the basket and make plays, but can also be a 3-point sniper as well. At 5'10, she has a high IQ and sees the court very well. She is tenacious on both ends of the court and plays with a lot of passion. She will be a huge asset to what we're looking to build upon from our perimeter play as a TAKE FLIGHT player who will compHEAT!  We're excited to keep this type of talent in Georgia!"

Miller joins 12 returnees from last season's squad that went 18-10 and set several program firsts en route to its best season in more than a decade.
