Top Georgia Southern University alumni playing currently pro basketball

   #1. McKenna Eddings, a 6'0'' guard who is 23 years old and graduated from Georgia Southern in 2026, has been making waves in the basketball world. After helping her college team to win the Sun Belt Regular Season Champion title in 2026, she has now taken her skills to the professional level in Slovakia. In a recent game, Eddings led Piestanske Cajky to a dominant victory over Klokani, one of the league's weaker teams, with a resounding scoreline of 96-45 in the Slovakian Nike Extraliga. Her stellar performance earned her the title of MVP of the game, as she scored an impressive 25 points in just 21 minutes of play, showcasing her talents, especially her perfect free-throw shooting record of 7 for 7. Despite being in her first season of professional basketball, Eddings has been making a significant impact on her team. Piestanske Cajky, with a 2-0 record, currently holds the fourth position in the league standings. It is still early in the season, and the competition is fierce, but Eddings has been proving her worth with her outstanding performances on the court. In the game against Klokani, Eddings not only scored 25 points but also contributed with 2 rebounds and 1 assist, demonstrating her versatility and leadership skills. Her standout performance was instrumental in leading her team to victory as the champion of the game. Eddings has been having an exceptional season individually, boasting impressive stats with an average of 17.0 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game in the two games she has played so far. Eddings' journey as a basketball player is just beginning, and with her skills and determination, she is poised to achieve even greater success in the future.
   #2. Destiny Garrett, a 24-year-old guard standing at 5'4" and an alumna of Lady Eagles from 2026 when they were crowned Sun Belt Regular Season Champion, is currently playing professionally in Serbia. In a recent game, she unfortunately couldn't help Ras secure a victory, as they suffered a 61-76 defeat on the road against the higher-ranked (#5) Nibak Nis. Despite the loss, Garrett delivered an exceptional performance, emerging as the top scorer with an impressive 39 points and contributing 4 rebounds in the 40 minutes she played. It's worth noting that this is Garrett's debut season in professional basketball, making her performance even more commendable. In her overall performance this season, Garrett has been a standout player with remarkable statistics. She leads the league with an average of 23.0 points per game, showcasing her scoring prowess. Additionally, she has been contributing 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, highlighting her versatility and impact on the court. Despite the team's recent loss, Garrett's individual success and strong contributions underscore her potential as a rising star in the world of professional basketball.
   #3. Experienced champion Tiffany Brown, a 5'6'' guard who is 40 years old and graduated from Georgia Southern in 2008, where she received the All-Southern Conf. Second Team award that year, currently plays professionally in Sweden. In a recent game, Brown, despite her strong performance, was unable to help AIK Basket (0-1) secure a win. The team suffered a 76-87 loss to the leading Alvik Basket in Stockholm. Brown emerged as the top scorer for her team, contributing 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 7 assists in 33 minutes of play. This game marked her debut for AIK Basket this season, showcasing her impressive skills on the court. Despite her standout performance, AIK Basket was unable to overcome Alvik Basket and secure the victory in the end.
