NCAA SCORECARD

LEXINGTON, Va. - A strong finish on the final air rifle relay helped propel the Georgia Southern rifle team to the 2022 Southern Conference Rifle title Sunday at VMI's Kilbourne Hall, the first in program history. After winning the smallbore title with a 2,266 on Saturday, the squad took second in air rifle with a 2,337 to post a conference-meet record 4,603 and hold off rival North Georgia by nine points.

In the air rifle preliminaries, Ashley Judson got the Eagles off to a solid start with a 589 in the first relay, which ended up being the second-best score. Kinsley Hannon posted a 586 in the final relay to place fifth and help secure the team title. Amy Visconti just missed the finals after shooting a 582 and tying for eighth place. Erin Ballard shot a 580 to place 12th and Anna Mayo posted a 575 to place 16th.

With their scores, Judson and Hannon advanced to the finals. Judson would take fourth and Hannon would take the bronze medal.

Ballard was named Smallbore Athlete of the Year while Judson was named Air Rifle Athlete of the Year. Head coach Sandra Worman was voted head coach of the year by her peers.
