Quickly: Georgia Southern hosts No. 23 Louisiana in a three-game Sun Belt Conference series this weekend at Eagle Field ... Louisiana is 15-7 overall and 2-1 in the Sun Belt. The Ragin' Cajuns took two of three from Georgia State over the weekend to open up its Sun Belt slate, but dropped a home doubleheader to No. 25 Texas on Wednesday ... The Eagles are 6-13 overall and 1-2 in the Sun Belt. Georgia Southern was slated to face Mercer on Wednesday in a doubleheader in Macon, but rains forced the postponement of that doubleheader until April 26 ... Jess Mazur had a grand slam for the Eagles on Saturday at ULM, her second grand slam of the season. She becomes the first Eagle with two grand slams in the same season since Marie Fogle, who had slams at Western Carolina and against Samford on March 19 and April 3, 2011 ... Louisiana leads the overall series between the two teams, 18-2, and the Ragin' Cajuns have won seven straight in the series ... Last year, Louisiana swept three games from the Eagles in Lafayette. In 2019, LA won all three in Statesboro by scores of 2-0, 6-3 and 3-1 ... The last win for the Eagles over the Ragin' Cajuns came on April 21, 2018, a 3-2 eight-inning win in Lafayette.
