What You Need To Know: GS Basketball Doubleheader Feb. 5

The Eagle basketball teams host Georgia State and Troy in a doubleheader Saturday, February 5, presented by Dolan's BBQ in Hanner Fieldhouse. The women will tip things off at 1 p.m. against Georgia State, followed by the Salute to Service men's game, presented by the Army National Guard, versus Troy at approximately 4 p.m. Below is important information to enhance your gameday experience.

Student Seating
Georgia Southern will not clear the arena prior to the men's game, and student seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. In anticipation of a large demand for student tickets, Georgia Southern Athletics strongly urges students to arrive as early as possible. Students from Georgia Southern and East Georgia who have paid their athletic fee gain free admission with their student ID. All students should enter via the student entrance on the campus side of the building off of Herty Drive. The student entrance opens at 12 p.m., and students will be turned away once the student section is full. The student section is behind the team benches. Should students have a notion to leave Hanner Fieldhouse, please remember, there is no re-entry. If you arrive during the women's game and want to see the men's game, you MUST stay in the facility.

Non-Student Seating
Tickets for both the women's and men's basketball games are on sale at GSEagles.com/tickets. However, you only need one ticket to get into both events. If you buy a women's basketball ticket, you will be admitted into the following men's basketball game, and vice versa.
All women's tickets are classified as general admission for the men's game, while the men's tickets are sold as reserved. Those with women's tickets will be asked to move to the general admission areas for the men's game. General Admission is located behind the baskets on either end of the court.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you get your ticket scanned in there is NO RE-ENTRY into this event. If you attend the women's game, you must stay inside the building prior to start of the men's game if you wish to stay. If you leave the facility at any point after you have been scanned in to either game, you will not be able to re-enter without a new ticket.

Tickets for the doubleheader are on sale now and available at GSEagles.com/tickets.

The Backcourt
The Athletic Foundation invites all basketball fans to The Backcourt. This season, social passes for select games are available to purchase on a single-game basis. The Backcourt provides fans with an opportunity to have catered food, an open bar**, and a pregame "chalk talk" with Eagles men's basketball coach Brian Burg. The Backcourt is open an hour before the men's basketball game, and will stay open for the duration of the first half of the game, closing at the end of halftime.
