1. When did you first start playing sports? What was the first sport you ever played?
I started playing basketball when I was 8 years old! But, the first sport I ever played was soccer.
2. How has your involvement in your sport shaped who you are today?
Believe it or not, basketball has helped me learn how to network and be able to communicate with many different people. It also helped me to develop a mental and physical toughness.3. Why do you love being a college athlete?
I love being a college athlete because being able to play at a school that supports us as athletes has a feeling that's unmatched. Game days, playing in front of friends and family, travel days, and just doing it with something I love is even better. I also developed great relationships with my teammates and coaches so it feels like a family.4. Who is someone that inspires you as a woman in sports?
Someone who inspires me as a woman in sports is my old assistant high school coach, Diara Carrington. She has inspired me because she is a woman who has been through a lot with basketball herself & for her to continue to share & pour into me so i could be where I'm at today really means so much.5. How do you hope you inspire athletes at Georgia Southern and other young women and girls in sports?
I hope I inspire other young women and girls by showing them that you can honestly achieve anything you want if you put your mind to it. Not to sound cliche, but no one can tell you you can't do anything. You have to believe in yourself & surround yourself with people who have your best interest. And then go get it!6. What would be your advice to a young girl who wants to be in your position as a college athlete?
My advice to a young girl who wants to be in my position as a college athlete is take your grades and development serious. Time management is something big to have also so making sure that you are able to balance your schoolwork, social life, and basketball can make things easier.
