STATESBORO – Jalen Finch scored 16 points, Andrei Savrasov added 15 points and seven rebounds, and Georgia Southern shot 58 percent to post a 79-57 men's basketball win over Wofford Saturday afternoon in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Eagles of the Game
Finch was 6 of 9 from the floor and made 4 of 5 from 3-point range for the Eagles (6-4), who placed five players in double figures in the scoring column. Tyren Moore notched 12 points, four steals and two assists, while Kaden Archie and Tai Strickland each scored 11.

Key Moments 
The Eagles outscored Wofford 22-6 over the final 6:36 of the first half to take a 49-29 cushion into the locker room. Six different Eagles scored during the stretch as Georgia Southern made six of its final eight field goal attempts in the period. The Terriers (6-5) were 2 of 8 at the other end with five turnovers. 

The margin never dipped below 16 in the second half, and Finch scored the final eight points in a 13-3 spurt that made the score 79-51 with 3:34 to play.

Wofford jumped out to a 10-5 lead behind five points by B.J. Mack, but the Eagles outscored the Terriers 12-6 over the next 5:30 and took the lead for good on a Kamari Brown jumper midway through the stanza.

Stats and Notes
- The Eagles shot over 50 percent and made 10 3-pointers for the second straight contest. GS has won its last 28 games when shooting 50 percent or better. 
- GS shot a season-high 48 percent from 3-point range (10 for 21).
- Wofford held a 24-11 edge in free-throw attempts but only outscored the Eagles by three points at the charity stripe. GS was 9 for 11.
