STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team will host the West Virginia Mountaineers for the final home conference match on Friday, October 28. This match will be the Eagles' senior night match and will kick-off at 7 PM.
Georgia Southern comes into the match with a 1-12-1 record after falling on the road to Marshall last Sunday. WVU comes in with a 5-6-4 after defeating Georgia State 3-2 on Senior Day for the Mountaineers.
WVU leads the overall series between the two programs 1-0. The only meeting between the two was last season's match where the Mountaineers took a 5-0 victory in Statesboro.
Four seniors will be honored for the Eagles prior to the match: goalkeeper
Maverick Boring, midfielder
Chase Winters, midfielder
Jona Kafka and midfielder/forward
Thomas Jackson. In addition to these four, lead sport scientist
Cameron Horsfall will also be honored before the match.
