Georgia Southern makes its fifth appearance and first since 2019 in the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by No. 22 Notre Dame at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Indiana.
The Eagles are coming off a sixth-place finish at the JT Poston Invitational Sept. 28. Senior
Ben Carr tied for eighth (-6) after shooting a 66 in the final round, and freshman
Hogan Ingram posted a 66 in the second round on his way to tying for 18th (-2). It was the 14th top-10 finish of Carr's career.Â
Carr was in the lineup the last two times Georgia Southern played in the Fighting Irish Classic. He tied for 18th in 2019 and tied for 34th (E) in 2018, when the Eagles finished second in the team standings.
Wilson Andress was also in the lineup for the 2018 event and tied for 17th (-4).
Carr makes his 32nd career start in the lineup, Andress will make his 16th appearance in the lineup and Dasher makes his seventh career start. Ingram makes his third start, and classmate
Ian Glanton will be in the lineup for the second time. Baker will play as an individual for the second straight tournament.
The Eagles have a short turnaround before finishing the fall portion of their season at the Bank of Tennessee Collegiate, hosted by East Tennessee State at Blackthorn Golf Club Oct. 10-12.
