Georgia Southern travels to Sapphire Valley, North Carolina, to compete in the JT Poston Invitational, hosted by Western Carolina, for the third time and first since 2019. The Eagles have won the event each of the last two times they have competed there (2018 and 2019).
Ben Carr and Wilson Andress played in both of those events. Andress tied for seventh in 2018, and Carr tied for 10th. Carr tied for fifth in 2019, and Andress played as an individual and tied for 46th.
Georgia Southern is coming off a 10th-place finish in its season-opening event, the Gopher Invitational in Minnesota. Ben Carr tied for fifth for the sixth top-5 and 13th top-10 finish of his career. Andress tied for 25th, and Lindsey Cordell, who played as an individual at the Minnesota Classic at Pioneer Creek Golf Club, tied for 23rd in that event.
Carr makes his 31st career start in the lineup, Andress will make his 15th appearance in the lineup and Dasher makes his sixth career start. Freshman Hogan Ingram makes his second start, and classmate Ian Glanton will make his Eagle debut.
