Former Eagle finishes her master's degree, continues her dream of playing professionally
ALUMNI UPDATE: Nikki McDonald
Nikki McDonald, who played as a grad transfer for Georgia Southern during the 2019-20 season, recently completed her master's degree in Sport Management while pursuing her dream of playing professional basketball.
After initially signing and playing for a season in Romania with Brasov, McDonald came back to the Americas and signed with Puerto Rican professional club Moca Explosives. Playing in her first games with the club, she made an immediate impact, scoring 23 points in an 81-80 win over Morovis, then adding 25 points, 17 rebounds and four assists against Llaneras. For her efforts, she was named the BSNF Player of the Week.
