STATESBORO – Continuing its relationship with web provider SIDEARM Sports, along with Learfield/IMG College, Georgia Southern Athletics launched a redesign of its GSEagles.com athletic website today.
"With this site redesign, we've repositioned GSEagles.com to provide easier navigation of the site," Georgia Southern Deputy AD Chris Davis said. "The SIDEARM team, working with our own Athletic Communications and Creative Services teams, have delivered a clear, crisp design. This new look will help us deliver award-winning content on Georgia Southern athletics that we know Eagle Nation deserves."
The streamlined GSEagles.com redesign enhances corporate partnership that is essential to the growth of Eagle athletics, while providing visibility integration to help fans watch, read and listen from anywhere in the world. The Georgia Southern Sports Network, through live broadcasts and its weekly podcast, will benefit from this enhanced visibility as well.
Fans will also find it easier to purchase tickets for football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball games while links to help donate to the Erk Russell Fund and the Athletic Foundation in general are more clearly defined.
A media wall concept allows for greater focus on key content which will be delivered across multiple platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. And for a second straight redesign, GSEagles.com features responsive technology, which allows a website to automatically align across computer, tablet and mobile platforms without the need for a separate mobile version or a standalone app.
Other features of the redesign include:
• The responsive layout and design scales to fit the user device on desktop, tablet and mobile so fans will be able to access information easily on the go.
• The new website includes larger photos, easier navigation between pages, quick access to social media outlets, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
• The site will also feature a revamped schedule and scoreboard on every sport page that will show recent scores and upcoming events with quick links to live stats, video and tickets.
• Each page will have an easy-to-find quick links as well as trending stories.
The newly redesigned GSEagles.com went live this morning.
