
Knight, Hornyak Sweep CCSA Swimming & Diving Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - On Tuesday evening the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association announced their swimmers and divers of the week, naming both Senior Katie Knight and Freshman Annamaria Hornyak as award recipients.
Katie Knight won her second CCSA Diver of the Week award, showing positive progression in her diving and scores. Knight posted her highest scores on both the 1-meter (240.15) and the 3-meter (262.88) this semester.
Annamaria "Amy" Hornyak was on the winning 200 Medley Relay (29.10 Breast) and won the 50 Breaststroke (29.56) on Saturday. In the 100 IM, Hornyak posted a time of 56.33 and broke the 100 IM school record. The time qualifies for the NIC meet and is the 2nd fastest time in Division I this year.
The Eagles will be back in action next week as they head to Lynchburg, Virginia to compete in the CCSA Championships. The events begin on Monday February 15 and will run through February 17.
