STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern women's tennis improved to 2-4 on the season, defeating Florida A&M 7-0 on Saturday. The Eagles swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches on Saturday afternoon at the Wallis Tennis Center.
In doubles play, Georgia Southern won on all three courts, dropping two total games during play. After claiming the doubles point, GS won in straight sets on five of the six courts, highlighted by Paula Hijos 6-0, 6-0 victory. Nadja Meier rebounded well falling 3-6 in the first set, before not surrendering a game in the next two sets.
Georgia Southern will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, facing off against ABAC for two matches. First serve for match one is scheduled for 10 a.m.
