STATESBORO - The 2021 Bash in the Boro softball tournament, scheduled for this weekend at Eagle Field, has been canceled due to forecasted inclement weather.

The Eagles were ticketed to open the 2021 season with games against Western Kentucky and UNCW beginning on Friday and continuing through Sunday, but those games will not be played.

Georgia Southern is now scheduled to open the 2021 season on Friday, February 19th, traveling to Gainesville, Fla., to take on No. 7-ranked Florida in the UF Bubly Invitational. The Eagles will play five games in the invitational, taking on Florida three times and Charlotte twice.
