GS Swimming & Diving Finishes Eighth in CCSA Championship

FULL RESULTS
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Georgia Southern Swimming and Diving placed eighth as a team in the CCSA Championship as competition wrapped up on Saturday evening. The final day of competition resulted in some impressive showings for the Eagles.
Melissa Cox made the A final in the 100 Free where she placed fifth with a season-best time of 50.41.
Jessica Ware and Klaudia Holt swam lifetime bests in the 200 Fly prelims, then went on to beat those in the finals. Ware finished fifth in the A finals with a time of 2:03.93 - the third fastest in school history. Holt finished 10th overall with a lifetime best time of 2:04.88. Emily Jone finished 19th in the same race with a season best time of 2:08.63.
Klaudia Holt finished eighth in the mile with a lifetime best time of 17:20.28. Emily Jones(15th; 17:44.22) and Randi Kiser(24th;18:33.02) both had season best times in the race.
Isabelle Bray finished 11th in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:23.82. Lydia Evans followed close behind in 15th with a time of 2:26.18.
The 400 Free Relay team (Danskin, Holt, Cox and Kubel) finished eighth with a time of 3:33.29.
Holland Danskin had a swim off for 25th in the 100 Free and won with a time of 52.48.
The Eagles had several season best times in the 200 Back prelims - Ashley Kubel (2:06.72), Elizabeth Chemey (2:06.86), Bettie Logan (2:08.81), Katie Kennedy (2:13.76) and Annaliese Mundt (2:17.26).
