Eagles Complete Day One of CCSA Championship

FULL RESULTS
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Georgia Southern Swimming and Diving wrapped up their first day of competition at the CCSA Championships Wednesday evening. The Eagles are currently in fourth place with 125 points, 105 points back from leader, Florida Gulf Coast University.
The Eagles started off the meet with relays and diving. Isabelle Bray had a lifetime best in the first leg of the 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:53.83, beating her previous time of 1:56.26. The Georgia Southern relay team went on to finish eighth in the event.
The 200 Medley Relay placed seventh with a time of 1:45.28.
"I am really excited with how we raced tonight," Head Coach Amanda Caldwell said. "What a great way to start the weekend with Isabelle leading off with that best time. We saw some great performances from Jessica and Melissa on the medley relay. Looking forward to more great swim this weekend!"
Georgia Southern divers competed in three meter diving. Katie Knight finished ninth with a score of 223.90. Gretchen Mossburg finished 12th with a score of 215.10.
The Eagles are back in action starting at 10 a.m. Thursday morning for a day of prelims. Finals will take place Thursday night starting at 6 p.m.
