The Eagles travel from one Greenville to another as they compete in the Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C., this weekend.
GS opened the campaign at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in Greenville, N.C., Monday and Tuesday, where they finished third. Alberte Thuesen made her collegiate debut for the Eagles and finished sixth, Ella Ofstedahl tied for seventh and Savanah Satterfield tied for 11th for her best career finish.Â
Sarah Noonan recorded her career-best round with a 72 in the first round, and Satterfield shot 73 in the third for her career-best round. Ofstedahl finished in the top-10 in her third straight collegiate event and now has nine career top-10s and 14 career top-20s.
The Lady Paladin Invitational has become a mainstay on the Eagles' schedule and holds the distinction of being the first event Georgia Southern women's golf competed in when the program started in 2015. This will be the Eagles' fourth time at the tournament.Â
Ofstedahl makes her 27th career start for the Eagles, and Noonan makes her 20th career start. Satterfield and Bell are in the lineup for the fifth time in their brief careers.
After playing in their first two events of the season just days apart, GS will have two weeks off before traveling to the Jupiter Invitational, hosted by FAU, Oct. 14-15.
