Quickly: Georgia Southern women's soccer starts the weekend up the road in Athens against the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday. The Bulldogs are 2-3-1 so far this season. The Bulldogs returned all 11 of their starters from the 2018 season. The team includes 2018 SEC All-Freshman defender Cecily Stoute. Both the Bulldogs and the Eagles have played Maryland. The Bulldogs won 5-0 while the Eagles lost 1-2. 
            Georgia Southern and Georgia have previously played each other five times with the Bulldogs winning all five matches. The last time the two Georgia teams faced off was in 2005 in Athens.

Quickly: UAB is 1-2-3. They have played several of Georgia Southern's Sun Belt opponents losing aginst South Alabama 1-3, and tying both Troy University (1-1) and Georgia State (0-0). UAB's goalkeeper won  Conference USA Goalkeeper of the Week last week. The team was also picked to finish fourth in the conference this season.
Georgia Southern and UAB have played each other once before in 2003. UAB won the game 2-1.
