Swimming and Diving Announces 2019-20 Schedule

Eagles will see action during four meets at home this year
STATESBORO - Head coach Amanda Caldwell announced Tuesday the 2019 Georgia Southern women's swimming & diving schedule, one that includes four home meets held at the Georgia Southern Recreational Activity Center on campus.
"I am so excited for the 2019-2020 schedule," Caldwell said. "We will compete against appropriate and challenging teams, all while adding more days of competition to our schedule. Our in-season schedule and opponents will help make our women competitively stronger and more relevant at our conference meet next year."
The first action for the Eagles in 2019-20 will be the Blue and Gold Intrasquad meet on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.
The season will officially kick off for both teams in North Carolina. The swimmers will race UNC Asheville, Davidson and Queens (NC) on Friday, Sept. 27 at Queens. The divers will race the same teams on Saturday at Davidson.
The Eagles will then come back home and compete against Campbell and Florida Gulf Coast University on Oct. 5 at 11 a.m.
On Oct. 19, University of North Florida will host our swim team for a swim-only meet. On Nov. 1-2, both the swimmers and divers will visit UNC Asheville to compete. The divers will compete on Friday, with the swimmers competing on Saturday. The last meet of 2019 will be the Georgia Tech Invite in Atlanta on Nov. 21-24.
Georgia Southern will kick off 2020 at home with a meet against UNF on Jan. 10. The competition will begin at 4 p.m. On Jan. 18, the Eagles will host the Georgia Southern Diving Invite beginning at 11 a.m.
The swimming & diving teams will end the regular season on the road. On Feb. 1, the team will return to Atlanta to swim against Georgia Tech and Savannah College of Art and Design – Savannah.
The CCSA Swimming and Diving Championships will be held Feb. 18-22 with a location to be announced. The divers have an opportunity to compete in two additional meets. NCAA Diving Zones will be March 9-11 with a location to be announced and the CSCAA National Invitational will be held in Cleveland, Ohio on March 12- 14.
