STATESBORO – It's time to lace up your cleats again, ladies! The 2019 Women's Football Clinic presented by International Diamond Center (IDC) is set for July 26 at 6:30 p.m. for some Friday night lights at Paulson Stadium!
 
Ladies will have the opportunity to interact and engage with head coach Chad Lunsford, the Eagle football coaching staff and football student-athletes. In addition, ladies will learn first-hand what it means to be "The Georgia Southern Man" or in this case "The Georgia Southern Woman."

"The only thing better than a Georgia Southern Man is the Georgia Southern Woman!," exclaimed Coach Lunsford.
 
New to this year's clinic is the addition of a Coaches Show style Q&A session. In the beginning of the program, ladies will be able to submit questions to the coaching staff. The coaches will take the stage and answer any questions may have on the program or sport of football. In addition, The Southern Exchange Company will be giving each lady in attendance a special ornament that will only be given away at this event.
 
"The Women's Football Clinic has become such an exciting an event for the ladies of Eagle Nation, especially because it's the first event to officially kickoff our football season," said Dan Adams, Assistant Athletic Director for Promotions and Fan Experience.
 
The 2019 Women's Football Clinic includes:

• Mix and mingle with other ladies of Eagle Nation
• Special welcome & interaction with head coach Chad Lunsford and the coaching staff
• Wear a Georgia Southern Football team jersey for the evening
• Fashion show & Equipment contest
• Instruction on the basic rules and strategies of football
• Tour of the Ted Smith Family Football Center
• Weight Room Demonstration
• Q&A session
• Athletic Training overview
• On-field drills led by the Georgia Southern football coaching staff (optional)
• Official camp t-shirt
• Door prizes
• Heavy hors d'oeuvres prior to clinic
• Open bar
• Group photo with coaches

MORE INFORMATION

It is recommended that all participants dress casually with athletic shirts, shorts and sneakers. Doors open for check-in at Bishop Field House at 5:00 p.m. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and an open bar will be served from 5:00 p.m-6:30 p.m.

Early Bird Special registration is open now. The cost is $40 per person and ends on June 30. Starting July 1, registration will increase to $50 per person. Registration closes on July 15. All participants must be 18 years of age or older (21 and up with proper ID for the open bar).
